Patient Care Projects

One of the greatest aspects of APhA-ASP is the ability of members to connect directly with patients. Patient care projects allow members to utilize what they’ve learned in the classroom in a real world setting with real patients.

There are five national patient care projects within APhA-ASP. They include Generation Rx, Operation Diabetes, Operation Heart, Operation Immunization, and Operation OTC Medication Safety. APhA-ASP at the University of Florida also has many local patient care and community projects: Alcohol & Tobacco Awareness, American Pharmacists Month, Special Populations, Great Gator Health Fest, Men’s Health,Women’s Health, Poison Prevention, and Mental Health. Many opportunities are given to members to volunteer for screenings and events through these patient care projects.
