“Medicines are the leading cause of child poisoning.” – Safe Kids Worldwide
Operation Over-the-Counter Medicine Safety is a community effort. We aim to educate 5th through 8th-grade students and their families about the safe use and storage of over-the-counter medicines. The engaging sessions cover topics such as reading medicine directions, following OTC label instructions, proper medicine measurement, safe storage and disposal, and consulting a parent or guardian before taking medications. We customize our resources to meet the specific needs of our community, sparking conversations about OTC medicine safety and emphasizing potential dangers.
